Objectively the brand support can only get enough gold to be more useful than the midlaner if he gets free ass kills in lane. Also his kit is balanced around the part of his passive that gives him mana for killing enemies who are burnt with his passive (ie mainly minions) but he can't do that as support so he goes OOM much faster than when he's in mid, like seriously, 100 mana Ws at lvl 9 (he maxes it btw) with only a 610 mana pool? Wait that shit out, then hard ene and win the 2v2 when brand won't have the mana to do a full combo (and boy does that champ rely on his combos), unless you have a hard ene support and can literally win the all in at like lvl 3 cuz aftershock is so strong with Ali, Leona etc.

Honestly that's the only way I've been able to climb through ranked. I'm ashamed.
